WAYNE D. THOMAS, ESQ.
Wayne Thomas earned his Juris Doctorate from McGeorge School of Law and was admitted to the Bar in 1989. Since that time he has focused on business and commercial litigation, environmental law, construction law, contract disputes, construction defect litigation, personal injury, "sick building syndrome" law, and now the emerging "mold" litigation. His experience includes numerous jury and bench trials as well as hundreds of mediation and arbitration proceedings.
Wayne is a third generation contractor and a first generation lawyer. He has been actively involved in the construction of a variety of projects including multi-family housing tracts, motels, condominiums, custom homes, mobile home parks and commercial and light industrial buildings. He continues to be involved in construction and real estate development throughout California and the Pacific Northwest.

TIMOTHY D. LUCAS, ESQ.
Timothy D. Lucas received his B.A. degree from the University of Southern California in 1975 and his J.D. degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in 1978. Tim was admitted to the California State Bar in 1978 and is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Courts for the Central and Southern Districts of California. Tim specializes in civil litigation, appeals, construction law and general civil law and has been involved in literally hundreds of trials, arbitrations and mediations involving a wide variety of disputes including wrongful death, catastrophic personal injuries, complex construction defect litigation, real estate transaction disputes, high school sports administration, product liability, business litigation, consumer litigation, contract litigation, environmental litigation and insurance coverage litigation. He is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), serve as an arbitrator for the San Diego County Superior Court and as a private mediator. He has also been a continuing legal education program presenter, a member of the San Diego Defense Lawyers Association where he has also served on the Board as well as a well recognized member of the San Diego County Bar Association. |
RONALD G. WHITEHEAD, ESQ.
Ronald Whitehead is a senior associate in the San Diego office of Wayne Thomas & Associates. Ron earned his Juris Doctorate from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 1998 and was admitted to the Bar in 1999. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ron worked for ten years as an insurance adjuster for Farmers Insurance in the areas of Personal injury, Commercial Liability, and Workers’ compensation claims. During this time he obtained both the CPCU and CPCLA certificates. Ron is an experienced trial attorney working primarily in the areas of insurance coverage, auto, personal injury, construction defect, bad faith and construction lien law.

A. KERRY STACK, ESQ.
Kerry Stack graduated Cum Laude and received his B.A. from the University of California – Riverside in 1978. Thereafter, Mr. Stack again graduated Cum Laude from Western State University, Fullerton, receiving his Juris Doctorate in 1986, and was Managing Editor of Law Review. Mr. Stack was admitted to the California State Bar in 1987 and admitted to the U.S. District Court, Central and Southern Districts in 1990.
From 1978-1980, Mr. Stack worked for a Travelers Insurance Company as a claims representative responsible for investigating and handling claims for civil tort litigation and subrogation cases. Today, with over 20 years of experience in all phases of litigation, including trials, Mr. Stack specializes in a wide variety of fields including insurance defense, construction defect, consumer protection, personal injury, products liability, contract, professional liability and general tort litigation. |
MICHELLE M. CLARK, ESQ.
Michelle Clark graduated from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1986 and was admitted to the California State Bar in 1987.
With 20+ years of experience, Ms. Clark has defended almost every subtrade in hundreds of construction defect claims throughout the State of California and has defended many clients through trial. Ms. Clark continues to represent a myriad of clients through all phases of litigation as well as advise on risk management as it relates to claims and tenders of defense.
Michelle specializes in construction law, construction defect litigation, contract and coverage interpretation. Ms.Clark also has a long standing relationship as a guest instructor in the civil practicum at USD School of Law. |
HEATHER M. NEVEU, ESQ.
Heather Neveu received her B.A. degree in International Studies from De Paul University in 1995 and her Juris Doctor degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2002. Ms. Neveu was admitted to the California State Bar in 2003 and is licensed to practice before all state courts including the Southern District of California. Since her admission, Ms. Neveu has concentrated her practice in general civil litigation and appellate work with an emphasis on construction including defect litigation, construction law and liability, including contractual indemnification, landslide and subsidence and latent defect issues. Ms. Neveu also aids clients with risk management issues related to coverage interpretation among other considerations and has participated in excess of a hundred mediations and settlement conferences. |
BRIAN A. BOICE, ESQ.
Brian Boice graduated from Washington State University in 2002 with a B.S. degree in kinesiology. Mr. Boice was a safety and ergonomic specialist for a large Seattle-area hospital before deciding to attend law school. Mr. Boice earned his Juris Doctorate in two years from Cal Western School of Law graduating in 2008 and was admitted to the California State Bar in 2009. |
JO ANNE CORNELL, Paralegal
Jo Anne Cornell is a paralegal whose areas of practice include all aspects of litigation, arbitration and extensive trial preparation for products liability, personal injury, employment, government tort liability, construction and elder abuse cases. Ms. Cornell has worked on numerous constrution defect matters, wrongful death, employment, personal injury and the defense of city and government agencies. Her area of expertise is complex, multi-party cases.
Ms. Cornell received her legal training from the University of San Diego in 1992, as well as a Masters Degree in Public Administration in 1985 and her Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 from Californis State University in Los Angeles.
